In the 1960s founder and owner Monte Woodard—alongside his father and brother—would visit the local drag strip in Carlsbad. Captivated then by the smell, the noise, and the thrill of drag racing, Monte has spent the rest of his life giving back to the drag racing community in San Diego.

What started as a passion turned into an engine machine shop that now caters to racers and car lovers alike. In many ways, our shop is a relic of an old and cherished era.
